Kevin DeLaine Reserve, Dallas – Proposed Park Improvements

In August and September 2017 Council invited feedback from the community on their ideas for improvements to Kevin DeLaine Reserve, Dallas. Thank you to everyone who shared their ideas and gave feedback through the surveys, online and at the pop up sessions. Over 90 people shared their ideas.

The improvements that were most important to participants were:

  • new park furniture
  • fencing
  • landscaping and shady trees

The two existing playspaces will be combined in a new central location. The most commonly requested activities for the new playspace were:

  • swings
  • slides
  • balancing items
  • climbing items
  • sensory items

 A concept plan, based on community feedback, can be found here.  It is anticipated works will commence in the second half of 2018.
