Old Sunbury Courthouse

With the Sunbury Visitor Information Centre shifting its operations from the Old Sunbury Courthouse building to the future Hume Global Learning Centre – Sunbury in mid 2019, Council is committed to ensuring the ongoing community use of the Old Sunbury Courthouse.

With the recent completion of the Community Consultation Phase, Hume City Council has gained a valuable insight into the community’s views and aspirations for how the Old Sunbury Courthouse could be used in the future. The information collected through the online survey – Your Say will also be used to help inform the formal Expression of Interest process.

The Expression of Interest process was designed to canvas a range of community proposals including an assessment of the benefit to the local Sunbury community, the ability or willingness of interested groups to co-share the facility and the capacity of the Old Sunbury Courthouse to meet the needs of prospective groups.

The formal process of seeking Expressions of Interest from community organisations and groups has now ended and the Hume City Council will be reviewing the applications received.
