Reconciliation Action Plan 2018-2022

As part of Council’s commitment to Hume’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, a desktop review of Council’s Reconciliation Action Plan 2013 -2017 has been undertaken and a draft Hume City Council Reconciliation Action Plan 2018 -2022 (RAP) has been prepared for community and stakeholder consultation. Please refer to the draft plan under 'Key Documents'.

This plan is a tool to assist Council to build positive relationships and respect the special contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to the broader community. Importantly, the draft RAP provides a guide for Council and the community to progress reconciliation.

The draft RAP details the actions proposed to be delivered, within existing programs and budget, by Council over the next four years. Thank you to everyone who took the opportunity to advise Council on priority actions and what additional actions, if any, should be included in the RAP 2018 -2020 to progress Reconciliation.
