Renaming the park known as Merrifield Neighbourhood Park - Foundation Park

Hume City Council is inviting residents to have their say on a proposal to rename an unnamed reserve in the Merrifield Estate, ‘Foundation Park.’

The reserve is located in the Merrifield Estate at the corner of St Georges Road and Balmain Road in Mickleham.

The proposed name, Foundation Park, has been suggested by MAB Corporation, the developers of the Merrifield Estate, following an online competition for the local community to suggest possible names.

The name was suggested as the park in question is the first park in Merrifield, and is a place where programs and initiatives within the Merrifield Estate have been founded.

In accordance with the Naming Rules for Places in Victoria – Statutory Requirements for Naming Roads, Features and Localities – 2016, and Hume City Council’s Place Names Policy, Council is inviting local residents to have their say on this naming proposal.

Written submission should be marked 'Proposal to rename a park commonly known as Merrifield Neighbourhood Park, Foundation Park' and either:
