Council Meetings

Public question time and public speaking time takes place as part of Ordinary Meetings of Council, which are the first meeting of each month. No public questions will take place as part of Ordinary (Town Planning) Meetings, which are the second meeting held each month. View Council Meeting dates.

Council meetings are now being streamed live from Council's website. The audio recording of the meetings will be published to Council’s website within two working days. The live stream of this meeting will not be published.

Members of the public may submit a statement to a recommendation of a report which will be read out at the meeting.

Any person who wishes to provide comments to an Officer's recommendation, or wishing to submit a public question, must submit their comments or questions prior to the meeting. Provided they comply with the Governance Rules(PDF, 761KB) (with the exception of being present at the meeting) these comments or public questions will be read out by the CEO or their delegate.

Public questions will be responded to by a Council officer in line with Council’s standard process.

Public comments in response to an Officer's recommendation on a report on the agenda must be submitted by no later than 3pm on the day of the Ordinary or Ordinary (Town Planning) Council Meeting if you are unable to attend the meeting and would like your comment read out at the meeting.
