What is the Community Event Sponsorship Program?
The Community Event Sponsorship Program runs annually and seeks to co-create with the Hume City community to support local businesses, drive tourism and enhance social and cultural connections.
In 2021/22 Hume City Council is offering financial support to a diverse range of groups and organisations in sponsorship of events that benefit our community. We support all types of events from small scale activities to large community events.
Based on previous successful funding applications, groups have applied for between $1,000 for a small-scale community event, up to $30,000 for a large-scale festival. While there is no set limit, each application is assessed on its merit requirements.
This program aims to activate public space through events and projects such as events involving music, art, activations, games, cultural celebrations and social gatherings to enhance connections within our community.

There will be two rounds of applications. Please note the closure dates for each round below.
Round 1 applications closed on 7 May 2021.
For events held between 1 July 2021 – 31 December 2021.
Round 2 applications close 30 June 2021.
For events held between 1 January 2022 – 30 June 2022.
