The Hume Charitable Fund will advertise when applicants are invited to apply for consideration, which will be shared here on our website.

The Hume Charitable Fund accepts applications from suitably endorsed charities for a number of general grants up to the maximum value of $10,000.00 per individual charity.  We encourage applications from eligible Hume community organisations working in the areas of health and human care.

Hume Charitable Fund special distribution in response to COVID-19 pandemic.

Given the global COVID-19 pandemic and the negative affect to many Hume residents, in September 2020 the Hume Charitable Fund Panel unanimously endorsed the distribution of $60,000.00 total funding to four local Hume charities who continue to work supporting disadvantaged residents within the Hume Community in addition to those residents who have been adversely affected during the pandemic.

The Hume Charitable Fund recipients are listed as follows:

  • Careworks Sun Ranges - Sunbury - $15,000 (purchase of food, toiletries and low denomination essential cards for clients assessed in need. Noting the anticipated increased demand for resources for homeless people or those at risk of homelessness through the COVID-19 pandemic).
