Langama Park Upgrade
- Project statusEarly Planning
- Project value$1.2 million
We're investing $1.2 million on upgrading the sports facilities at Langama Park Reserve in Sunbury to support growth in soccer, cricket and rugby.
The planned works at Langama Park Reserve Precinct will involve a refurbishment of Pavilion 2 as well as development of a new modular social pavilion for clubs to use.
What we’re doing
Upgrades to Langama Park Reserve will improve the experience for local clubs and spectators. These works include:
-
installing a new lighting system on the main soccer pitch to meet Australian Standards of 100 Lux
-
installing three large shelters throughout the reserve
-
upgrading player changerooms and amenities
-
increasing storage
-
building a new modular social pavilion fit out with a social room, kitchen/bar area, amenities, storage and umpire changerooms.
This project is in partnership with the Victorian Government.
Why we’re doing it
We're upgrading Langama Park Reserve Precinct to make the facility comfortable for all users.
By creating a dedicated social space and upgrading amenities, we're ensuring that our local sporting clubs have a fit-for-purpose facility.
When it'll be finished
Construction is due to start in late 2021 and finish in 2022.
