Sunbury artist Manan Walia moved to Australia 7 years ago. This exhibition reflects upon the eventful time spent adjusting to a whole new social, cultural and physical environment.

Manan taught art in India for more than a decade and has recently started teaching locally near home. As an artist, she gravitates towards themes of nature and the female experience. Her imagery is characterised by colourful and fluid forms, delicately emerging against abstract backgrounds.

Manan is developing a summer activity called 'Illuminating Home – Bark Tree Light' to share with the community during her exhibition.
