Now more than ever before, your voice matters. You can get support from the public and/or the government for a certain project, policy or program by advocating for it. The complexity of the issue determines whether the advocacy process is short-term or long-term. Advocacy can also benefit you and your community, as it connects you with others who share your passion and gives you a voice.

Help us advocate and be heard!

  • Join the conversation – Use the hashtag #HumeAdvocates or like Hume City Council on Facebook to help us advocate for you and our community.
  • Spread the word – Tell your friends and family about the issue to get their support.
  • Tell your Local Member – Contact your local Federal Member or State Member directly.
  • Tell the State Minister– Find the contact details for the relevant minister and let them know your concerns at the Parliament Victoria website.
