Supporting your neurodivergent child

Please join us for this vital workshop on the topic of Neurodivergence. This will be an interactive workshop delivered by lived-experienced practitioners from YDAS (Youth Disability Advocacy Service).

This session targets parents and carers with children aged 10-24 years of age.

Some topics that will be explored include the following:

• What is disability? (including using language to describe disability)
• What is neurodivergence? (and difference to neurodiversity)
• The Neurodivergent Parachute
• Deconstructing the ‘diagnostic’ approach to neurodivergence
• Affirming language
• Being clear, direct and intentional that support your child to thrive
