I am a Community Liaison Office covering 3 x Council areas which includes Moonee Valley, Merri-bek and Hume.
In my current role I am basically a bridge between Police and the community with main focus on migrants and refugees.
I have been involved with HIN for more than 4 years now.
I think being involved with HIN is important as it can be kind of a platform to connect with various groups and they can also interact with the police in a informal way and it can sort of help to “break that barrier” between the Police and people of different faith.
