Support, Leadership and Advocacy

Hume Youth Engagement and Pathway Unit provides responsive and integrated programs for young people aged 6 to 24 years to connect and thrive. We work in partnership with schools, service providers, community agencies and young people to deliver programs and activities that enhance engagement, social connection, mental health and wellbeing. We provide opportunities for young people to learn about services, engage with other young people, learn new skills and advocate for issues that matter to them.

Middle Years and Transitions

We have a commitment to providing tailored supports and programs to meet the specific needs of middle years children and young people, aged 6 to 11 years, working within a family-centred approach to support parents/carers, families, schools, and communities.

Hume Youth Action Committee

The Hume Youth Action Committee (YAC) consists of aspiring young community leaders, ranging in age from 15-20 years from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Hume Youth Productions and Events (HYPE) FReeZA Program

Hume's FReeZA Committee HYPE (Hume Youth Productions & Events) is a group of local young people aged from 12 to 24 who plan and organise events for young people in Hume.

GLITTER

GLITTER is a social group for LGBTIQA+ youth, facilitated in a safe place to hang out, connect, share and learn with like-minded people.

LGBTQIA+ Youth Action Group

Our new LGBTQIA+ Youth Action Group for young people aged 14 – 24 will create a safe space to connect and develop a toolkit to support safer and more inclusive community spaces for young people, no matter their identity across Hume.

Victorian Youth Fest

Victorian Youth Fest is a month-long celebration across Victoria highlighting the contributions and achievements of young people in their communities.
