The Miracle of Oceans - Donata Uncanin

Inspired by ocean life, Donata interprets the forms and colours of ocean life through ‘thread painting’, a combination of sculptural embroidery and crochet and continuous experimentation that is a hallmark of her unique aesthetic.

“This project is not trying to raise awareness of the ecological catastrophe threatening our oceans as we all know that by now. I am trying to share with the world the magical beauty of the ocean life as I see it, hoping that people will become as excited about it as I am and want to keep the miracles of our oceans as the precious gifts they are.”
