Hume City residents can use their waste vouchers to drop off waste for free at our Resource Recovery Centres. Conditions apply.
To use your waste vouchers, let staff know when you arrive at the gatehouse and show them your ID and proof of your address requirements listed below.
If you are a residential ratepayer living outside of Hume, you will also need to show your current rates notice.
ID and proof of your address requirements:
- For homeowners and tenants living in Hume you only need to show your Drivers Licence.
- For homeowners residing elsewhere, your Rates Notice and photo ID such as a drivers licence with matching name will be required.
- For tenants who have only recently moved, a Rental agreement or utility bill with Hume address and photo ID with matching name will be required.
- If you are assisting a friend or relative to dispose of their waste, the same ID requirements listed above will be required, but the resident must contact Customer Service prior to the visit to provide authorisation and evidence of consent and proof of address. People turning up without prior notice will not be permitted to use someone else’s vouchers even with the correct documentation.
- If you have further questions on ID and proof of address requirements, please contact Hume City Council.
