16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign that runs every year from November 25 (the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day). Over these 16 days, Hume City Council joins communities around the world in the effort to prevent and eliminate violence against all women.
Our work and the lessons we share go beyond these 16 days, striving for a future where everyone is safe, equal, and respected every day of the year.
Every year, we partner with local organisations to host free events and activities during the campaign. These events aim to spark conversation, encourage change, and foster a community committed to safety, equality, and respect for all.
