Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group (RAPWG)
Established in 2019, Hume City Council’s Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group (RAPWG) helps guide the implementation of the RAP and provides advice on issues important to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The group includes Aboriginal community members, a Councillor representative, and Council officers.
The RAPWG has contributed to Council policies, programs and services, and has played a key role in delivering events such as the anniversary of the National Apology Day, National Sorry Day, National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week. Through these activities, the group helps share Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, stories and traditions with the broader community.
We recruit regularly for Working Group members – keep an eye on this page, or email communitydevelopment@hume.vic.gov.au
