Christmas opening hours

Some of our services will be impacted by the upcoming Christmas holiday period from Friday 22 December to Tuesday 2 January.
Customer Service Centres will be closed on:
- Monday 25 December
- Tuesday 26 December
- Monday 1 January
On all other weekdays, opening hours will be 8am – 5pm, except for Friday 22 December and Friday 29 December which will be 8am – 3pm.
You can still report issues online or via the Snap Send Solve app, and contact our after-hours service on 9205 2200 if there is an emergency.
Leisure Centres will be closed on:
There will be reduced hours on Monday 1 January 1pm – 5pm. On all other days opening hours vary, please check each centre's individual hours.
Resource Recovery Centres will be closed on:
- From midday on Sunday 24 December and Sunday 31 December
- All day Monday 25 December (Christmas Day)
- All day Monday 1 January (New Year's Day)
They will be open as normal every other day. View locations and hours.
Waste collection will be pushed back by one day in the weeks beginning Monday 25 December (Christmas Day) and Monday 1 January (New Year's Day).
Please put your kerbside bins out one day later than usual during these two weeks.
If your regular bin day is:
Monday - your bin will be collected on Tuesday.
Tuesday - your bin will be collected on Wednesday.
Wednesday - your bin will be collected on Thursday.
Thursday - your bin will be collected on Friday.
Friday - your bin will be collected on Saturday.
Hume Libraries will be closed on:
- Sunday 24 December
- Monday 25 December
- Tuesday 26 December
- Sunday 31 December
- Monday 1 January
On all other days opening hours vary, please check Hume Libraries website for hours of operation.
Community Centres will be closed from 3pm on Friday 22 December to Tuesday 2 January.
Youth Centres will be closed from Friday 22 December to Tuesday 2 January.
