Published on 17 March 2023
Join us for a community day on Sunday 26 March as we celebrate the opening of the Seabrook Reserve play space and rugby pitches. It will be a day full of fun, with free food, coffee, ice-cream, and kid-friendly activities from 10.00am - 2.00pm.
Seabrook Reserve is a space for the entire community to enjoy and strengthen Rugby League in Victoria and become a space to play, relax, explore and exercise.
The community day will feature kids' rugby training drills run by NRL Victoria, make sure to register your interest early to avoid disappointment.
Residents will also have the opportunity to enjoy the new state-of-the-art play space with features including a flying fox, swings, exercise stations, basketball half court and BBQ picnic areas.
The next upgrade is for a second-storey extension at the planned Rugby League Centre of Excellence. The centre will provide an important administration base for NRL Victoria and is set to be the home of the future Melbourne Storm NRLW team.
This project is delivered in partnership between Hume City Council, Victorian Government, NRL, Melbourne Storm, NRL Victoria and Touch Football.
This project is part of Council’s record $558 million capital works program delivering more than 500 projects over the next four years, creating local construction jobs and stimulating our economy.
Final works on Seabrook Reserve are expected to be completed in late 2023.
Seabrook Reserve is located at Goulburn Street, Broadmeadows.
