Hume City Council is running a Standard Mental Health First Aid training for all faith and community groups/ members in Hume. The course is free but you will have to complete 2 days of the training.
The workshop will help you to learn how to assist adults who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.
You can complete the short assessment at the end of the training to become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider). Accreditations are valid for 3 years.

The training is delivered by an accredited trainer from the Centre for Muslim Wellbeing.
Dates & Times:
Training will run on two Saturdays - you must attend both days to complete the course.

• Saturday 18 May 2024, 10am to 3.30pm

• Car parking is available on site.
Catering:
Lunch and morning tea will be provided. Please provide dietary requirements when you register.
