How our community Keeps Hume Clean

Cleaning up after our pets in public spaces

Erin walks her dog Freya in Hume’s trails, off-leash parks and open spaces.

As a veterinary nurse, she’s an advocate for hygienic spaces for Freya to play in. As a resident, she takes pride in living in a clean community.

This is what it means to Erin to Keep Hume Clean.

Removing and disposing of household waste

Every few months, Raj uses his waste vouchers to get rid of unwanted items and keep his home nice and tidy.

He loves taking walks in Craigieburn and wants everyone to take care of Hume's streets and parks like they would take care of their home.

This is what it means to Raj to Keep Hume Clean.

Keeping public spaces free of litter

Thom is an environmental warrior.

He loves taking walks in Craigieburn and wants everyone to take care of Hume's streets and parks like they would take care of their home.

This is what it means to Thom to Keep Hume Clean.

Keeping our buildings free of graffiti

Paul is the founder of the Merrifield Panthers Football Club and an advocate for youth mental health.

He knows that having clean public spaces increases participation in positive activities for young people and promotes an inclusive community.

This is what it means to Paul to Keep Hume Clean.

Returning shopping trolleys after use

Anupa is a mum and proud Roxburgh Park resident who regularly shops at Roxy Central with her son.

She knows that by returning her trolley, she’s teaching good habits that her child will learn from and exhibit in the future. That small teaching moment has a ripple effect for our whole community.

This is what it means to Anupa to Keep Hume Clean.

Correct use of kerbside bins

Nabila lives in Hume’s north with her young family, taking pride in her home and suburb.

She keeps track of her bin days, and uses council resources to make sure she has the correct bins, knows what goes in each, and how to put them out correctly.

This is what it means to Nabila to Keep Hume Clean.
