Coaching Girls - Getting and Keeping Girls Playing Workshop

We are hosting the Coaching Girls - Getting and Keeping Girls Playing Workshop on Monday 22 June, at Greenvale West Community Centre Facilitated by Welcoming Clubs, this workshop explores how coaches, clubs and sporting environments can better respond to barriers, creating conditions where all girls feel confident, capable and motivated to stay involved in sport and active.

Participants will:

• Identify the key reasons girls disengage from sport and how intersecting barriers shape these experiences
• Recognise the role of connection, belonging and psychological safety in sustaining participation
• Apply inclusive coaching language, feedback and expectations to build confidence and motivation
• Embed role models, representation and inclusive team culture within their environment
• Implement practical strategies that support girls to take risks, be brave and focus on progress over perfection
