Artist: Sasha Heath (Hello Tomato)
Multi-skilled artist Sasha Heath (of Hello Tomato) ran a series of workshops with children at the much - loved Barrymore Rd Children’s Centre to develop a vast narrative design that extends around three sides of the busy venue.
Sasha’s style is friendly and gently comical – combining abstract shapes designed by the children with various plants and animals associated with the broader green spaces in the suburb of Greenvale.
The Centre staff and children were excited to watch Sasha and her assistant create a unique community artwork that can be viewed from the parkland and adjacent main road. Staff are planning a range of programs around their colourful new site and staged a special family event to celebrate its completion in winter of 2026.
