Turkish Choir

Come along to our casual Turkish Choir group every Sunday night from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the Homestead.
We are a community music group that practises classical Turkish music using traditional acoustic instruments such as the oud, violin, ney and kanun.
We focus on songs from the late 19th and early 20th century, aiming to keep this rich musical culture alive. Together, we explore Turkish songs, composers and the unique characteristics of the Turkish makam.
