Artrise building at Jacksons Hill

Artrise is a beautifully restored heritage building with a rich history dating back to the early 1900s. Originally a female refractory, the space has evolved over the years to serve a variety of community purposes. Recently renovated by Hume City Council, Artrise now stands as a vibrant creative hub for artists and performers. 

The venue features dedicated studio spaces for artists, potters, and drama groups, along with a gallery for showcasing works. It also boasts two meeting rooms, a fully equipped theatre, and a state-of-the-art gallery all with advanced AV technology. Members of the public can book studios, and the building is home to a recording studio, making it an ideal space for creative expression and collaboration.  

It also comprises of beautifully landscaped gardens and open spaces to stroll, have a picnic lunch. The spaces between building 5 and 6 are also great for small businesses to attend community activities like markets. 

The two car parks also have 1x15 amp power outlet for catering truck/electric cars to utilise. 

Multipurpose Room 1

Multipurpose Room 1 offers the convenience of modern tables and comfortable chairs, ensuring a pleasant seating experience. Additionally, a television is available for your visual aids and presentations. The room is equipped with heating, maintaining a comfortable environment throughout the year. Multipurpose room 1 can comfortably seat a maximum of 30 people, making it a versatile choice for meetings and programs.

 

Multipurpose Room 2

Multipurpose Room 2 offers the convenience of modern tables and comfortable chairs, ensuring a pleasant seating experience. Additionally, a television is available for your visual aids and presentations. The room is equipped with heating, maintaining a comfortable environment throughout the year. Multipurpose room 2 can comfortably seat a maximum of 30 people, making it a versatile choice for meetings and programs.

Annexe Room

The room is available for booking and is more than a front of house room. This bright and spacious room leads to the theatre, and can be used for meetings, cultural and artistic gatherings, as a collaboration space and break out/dining area. 

It is equipped with tables and chairs, overlooking the newly established courtyard garden and is naturally heated and cooled with openable windows and bifold doors that open to a deck to the west. 

Threatre/Multipurpose Room

100 seat theatre with moveable tiered seating.     

The space is supported with the latest audio and visual technology – including state-of-the-art presentation screens, lighting and speakers.   

 

Outdoor Pavillion (East of Building 5)

An outdoor pavilion amongst landscaped gardens and wide open greens area available for bookings.

 

Recording Studio

Space for artists to record with acoustic panels and sound proofing. Must supply your own equipment.

 

Maker Space Building (6)

A dedicated space for woodworkers and applied artists. The space is supported with the latest audio and visual technology - including state-of-the-art presentation screens, lighting and speakers. It also includes a kitchenette and toilet facilities.

 

Artist Studios

1 room studio (single room studio) 

Studio space for artists and businesses to work from. Converted single cell to a studio space  

2 room studio (double room studio) 

Studio space for artists and businesses to work from. Two converted cells to a studio space.  

3 room studio (triple room studio) 

Studio space for artists and businesses to work from. Three converted cells to a studio space.  

 

All rooms have public WiFi available. Rooms have ceiling fans and heating.
