Hume Gender Equity in Sport (HGESN) Session #2

The Hume Gender Equity in Sport Network (HGESN) will be hosting the HGESN Session #2, on Monday 15 June, Online via Zoom from 6pm – 7pm.

With Hume being home to a large and diverse Muslim community, this session will focus on practical approaches to engaging Muslim women and women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds within sporting environments.

This session will feature:

• Overview of the HGESN
• A presentation from Welcoming Clubs on the successful delivery of the Active Women’s Project in Greenvale
• A presentation from the Australian Muslim Women’s Centre for Human Rights (AMWCHR), including insights and resources from their work on 'Engaging Muslim Women in Sport and Fitness'
• Networking - A guided networking opportunity for participants to share ideas, learn, reflect and connect with others from the network.
