What we're doing 

We're upgrading the Macedon Street streetscape to provide a more attractive and welcoming environment for the community and visitors alike.

The streetscape upgrade will address the existing site challenges and will include the following improvements:

  • footpath and kerb renewals
  • street furniture, bins and seating upgrades
  • urban greening/landscaping
  • DDA compliance upgrades
  • signage/wayfinding.

Why are we doing these works?

The project is seeking to create a visually cohesive and sustainable streetscape that reflects the evolving identity of Sunbury. These enhancements will support local economic activity by improving the attractiveness and comfort of the area for both traders and visitors.

When will works commence?

Construction is currently scheduled to start in early 2027 and be completed by mid-2027. We'll keep you updated as this project progresses through the design phase.
