2026 Successful Grant Recipients

Hume City Council is pleased to offer the following groups Annual Community Grants for projects in 2026. Offers are based on satisfactory acquittal of any previous grants, and the meeting of all eligibility requirements.

Large Project Grant

Large Project Grants are for projects that clearly address a significant need and embrace the principles of social justice, healthy living, lifelong learning, environmental sustainability, community safety and inclusion. Grants are up to $10,000 per year for up to three years.

Newly announced funding:

Australian Multicultural Community Centre Limited - $10,000 per year for three years 

Carers Connection Hub - Providing a space for unpaid multicultural carers to connect, socialise and thrive.  

Piano Project Incorporated - The Pizzicato Effect - $10,000 per year for three years 

Free instrumental music tuition to school-age children in Hume.  

Plantingseeds Projects Limited - $9,800 for one year 

The Hume B&B Highway: Environmental education to local schools covering biodiversity, habitat creation, citizen science, and urban heat mitigation.  

The Water Well Project Limited - $10,000 per year for three years 

Free health education sessions to Hume participants from refugee, asylum seeker, and migrant backgrounds.  

Women’s Information and Referral Exchange Incorporated (WIRE) - $10,000 per year for three years 

Money Mindset: Financial literacy for multicultural communities that is tailored, co-designed, trauma informed and co-facilitated by peer educators.

Volunteer Project Grant

The Volunteer Project Grant is a grant for new and innovative services, programs, and projects that support local partnerships to help community organisations and groups to re-engage, encourage and try out volunteering. 

Sunbury Neighbourhood House Inc - $9,550 

To create a volunteer subgroup focused on planning events, fundraising, and boosting community engagement and visibility of Sunbury.  

All Saints - $5,000 

To deliver a coaching certification program and establish a youth referee group by engaging club volunteers to strengthen community service.  

Small Project Grant

Project Grants are designed to encourage new ideas, development of locally-led initiatives or projects and collaborations that provide significant benefit to the Hume community.

These grants support groups and organisations to run programs and activities that encourage community participation and involvement, promote leadership, and develop a strong sense of belonging. This includes health and wellbeing projects that improve and encourage active lifestyles. Grants are available up to $3,000 for a 12-month period.
