In our fourth episode of #HumeStories, we spoke to Hume City local, Deepak Vinayak OAM JP, who shared details of the vibrant and welcoming nature of Hume that has made him feel at home.
After originally arriving in Australia as an international student, Deepak made his way to Hume just over 15 years ago. Tirelessly dedicated to supporting his community, Deepak has founded multiple community organisations and served as an ambassador for several other community focused organisations, including R U OK and White Ribbon Australia.
As a result of Deepak's passion and commitment to helping others, he has been recognised through a variety of awards, including a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to the multicultural community of Victoria.
