See how to tackle Serrated Tussock with a new technique being successfully trialled in Oaklands Junction

Are you a rural landowner in Hume City struggling to manage Serrated Tussock?

Are you looking for a herbicide free alternative?

The Rural Team has been working with a local landowner trialing a new technique to control Serrated Tussock and improve pasture.

Using the commonly used agricultural fertiliser Urea, see how you can selectively take out tussocks and allow your existing pasture to recolonise or you can direct seed depending on the situation.

Whilst this management option is currently only suitable for smaller landholdings, it may be scalable in the future using ever advancing drone technology.
