Goonawarra Neighbourhood House

Goonawarra Neighbourhood House is a welcoming community hub where people come together to connect, learn, belong and thrive. For more than 35 years the House has been at the heart of the Goonawarra Estate in Sunbury, supporting local people through programs, activities and initiatives that strengthen community.

The House delivers programs shaped by the needs and ideas of local people. From playgroups, youth engagement programs, cooking classes, arts and social groups to community events, food relief, volunteering opportunities and wellbeing initiatives.

The House welcomes everyone to “make themselves at home” whether sharing a meal, attending a class, joining a community project or having a cup of tea and a chat.

Goonawarra is a not-for-profit, community-controlled organisation. It works with residents, volunteers, local organisations, and funding partners to build a stronger, fairer and more vibrant community. The house is a member of the NorthWest Neighbourhood House Network and Neighbourhood Houses Victoria.
