Parliamentary inquiry hearing

Sunbury waste-to-energ.jpg

Sunbury residents have voiced serious concerns about the proposed Waste-to-Energy facility – including how close it would be to residential homes, potential health impacts, increased traffic and transparency of the approval process.

Hume City Council has formally raised these concerns in its submission to the Parliamentary inquiry. This highlights how significant the community’s concerns are, and the need for clearer, more accessible information about its potential impacts.

A public forum will be held to discuss the Sunbury Waste-to-Energy proposal. Sunbury residents are welcome to attend and observe the public hearing, where invited speakers will present on behalf of the community.

A reminder that all attendees must follow Parliamentary rules — seating is limited, first‑come first‑served, and no standing is permitted.
