What we're doing

We're undertaking improvement works at Canadian Court Reserve in Meadow Heights. The works will include:

  • renewed play equipment – fresh equipment for kids to enjoy
  •  new multi-purpose looped path – including a walking track and ‘learn-to-ride’ circuit to help little riders build their confidence
  •  new shared use path – improving connections through the reserve to Coolaroo Station and Pascoe Vale Road
  •  improved reserve entries – creating safer, more accessible entry points
  •  new shelter with a picnic table and seating – creating a comfortable space for families and visitors to gather
  •  additional tree planting throughout the park – providing improved shade coverage for all visitors.

The renewal will provide a safe and connected open space environment for community members of all ages and abilities. The upgrades will encourage local families to gather and enjoy the new facilities and space, and will provide improved connections. 

What to expect

Works are planned to commence in March 2026 and are due to be competed by mid-June, weather permitting. Construction works will take place between 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Temporary fencing will be installed around the perimeter of the reserve and the playspace will be closed throughout the construction period. There will be limited access through the reserve throughout the construction period. An alternative playspace is available at Buchan Street Reserve. Pedestrian detours will be in place via Taggerty Crescent, to allow access to Pascoe Vale Road and Coolaroo Station.

Managing impacts

We manage our works responsibly in line with project requirements by:

• keeping residents informed when work is happening nearby

• using clear signage

• securing worksites with fencing, barriers and safety measures

• monitoring and managing noise, dust and other construction impacts.
