We've upgraded Roxburgh Park Drive so more people can get to where they need to go safer, faster and more reliably.

What we did

We’ve added extra lanes across a 1.6-kilometre section of road between Donald Cameron Drive and James Mirams Drive.

The project included a duplication of the road, construction of new pavement and centre median islands, a new bridge, intersections, kerb and channel, shared paths, bus stops and drainage.

Why we did it

Roxburgh Park Drive is an important local road that’s used by more than 19,000 vehicles each day.

It’s a critical link that connects residents to and from shopping precincts, community centres, schools and public transport, and through to Aitken Boulevard, Bridgewater Road and Somerton Road.

We’ve upgraded the road to help cut the commute of those who use it now and cater for the increase in demand expected over the next ten years.

When was it completed

Works were completed in late 2020.
