What we've done

We’ve been hard at work transforming the ageing outdoor toddler pool space at Sunbury Aquatic and Leisure Centre into an engaging, family-friendly Water Play area.

The attraction includes:

Soft fall surface
Slides
Tipping bucket
Spray loops
Aqua dome
Jets, fountains, funnels
Multiple spray features
All covered by shade sails for added comfort

To improve accessibility, the upgrade includes ramps and the removal of steps between pools, making the outdoor pool area more inclusive for everyone.

The water features included in the final design were selected by the community through the Participate Hume consultation process.

Partnership

This project is proudly funded by the State Government and Hume City Council, with a joint investment of $3.8 million.
