Cr Carly Moore has proudly served the Hume community since her election to Council in 2016, representing the Aitken Ward. A lifelong resident of Hume, Carly’s deep local roots span generations, with her family settling in Coolaroo and Broadmeadows in the 1960s. She lives in Craigieburn with her husband and four children, and is passionate about making Hume a vibrant, inclusive, and liveable city.
Carly has served three terms as Mayor—in 2018/19, 2019/20, and 2021/22—leading Council through significant challenges and achievements, including pandemic recovery efforts, major infrastructure investments, and the launch of community programs such as the Hume Multiversity and Small Business Grants. She oversaw the delivery of over 500 capital works projects and championed initiatives to stimulate the local economy and improve city amenity.
Professionally, Carly holds a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy, is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Her strengths lie in governance, finance, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.
Carly is a strong advocate for community sport, city amenity and tackling illegal dumping. Her leadership is grounded in transparency, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to the people of Hume.
