Transform a CNC-cut flat sheet of plywood and a couple of ping-pong balls into a lively puppet character that can talk! Through simple assembly, we will explore basic engineering ideas like leverage and movement.
Then it’s time to decorate using colourful masking tape and imagination.
Each character has calm and not-so-calm modes, helping kids discover how mechanics can express emotion. The session finishes with playful puppetry games that introduce character, storytelling, and creative performance.
This session involves safely using scissors and screwdrivers under supervision. All materials provided.
Recommended for participants aged 6 -11 yrs. Grown-ups are encouraged to join in and get creative too! (please book a ticket). We are happy to accomodate younger participants who are asssisted by a carer.
