What we did

We've renewed the existing Maygar Grey Box Woodland Reserve in Broadmeadows to include:

  • new play equipment including a play unit, swing set, carousel and rocker
  • nature play activities
  • exercise equipment
  • half-sized basketball court
  • bike hoops
  • new shelter, picnic tables and seats
  • drinking fountain
  • tree planting and landscaping.

Why we did it

The existing playspace was 20 years old and in need of renewal. It provided an opportunity to provide appropriate landscape upgrades within the area. 

When were works completed?

Stage 1 works were completed in December 2025.

Stage 2 works involve upgrading footpaths to improve access to and from the reserve, with these works likely to commence in early 2026. We'll provide more information about these works in advance.
