Learn about Hume Central at our pop-up events

Hume Central is a long-term project that will transform a central location into a vibrant community destination.  

To help residents learn more about this exciting project we are running two pop up events this month:  

11am – 2pm, Thursday 23 February at Broadmeadows Civic Plaza  

9am – 12pm, Saturday 25 February at Broadmeadows Aquatic and Leisure Centre  

Look out for the bright yellow trailer at these pop-ups to hear from our friendly team.  

We have been working on this project since 2014 and some upgrades have included:  

  • The $25 million redevelopment of the Town Hall  

  • Development of Civic Way and upgrade of Civic Plaza outside the Hume Global Learning Centre – Broadmeadows and Council offices  

  • Upgrades and improvements to underground services like telecommunications, sewage, and water to lay the foundations for future projects  

  • Securing Orange Door services within the Hume Global Learning Centre – Broadmeadows

  • Activating the precinct with community events like the Hume Winter Lights Festival 

Council looks forward to engaging with our community at these pop-ups in February and at future events.
