Hume City Council has celebrated the outstanding contributions of residents and groups at the 2025 Hume Community Awards, held on Thursday 14 August at Town Hall Broadmeadows.
The annual awards recognise the people who go above and beyond to strengthen Hume’s sense of pride, connection and inclusivity.
With nearly 150 nominations received, the awards reveal just how much talent and generosity shape life in our city.
Whether in classrooms, on sporting fields, through cultural leadership or grassroots volunteering, the nominees showcase the heart of Hume’s community spirit.
Thanks to the support of our sponsor Amazon Australia, the awards continue to grow as a major celebration of community achievement.
In addition to the winners, every nominee was recognised for their efforts, with certificates provided to honour the positive impact they’ve made in shaping a vibrant and inclusive Hume.
Quotes attributable to Mayor of Hume City, Cr Jarrod Bell:
“Our city is full of people who care deeply about their community and work tirelessly to make a difference. These awards are our chance to pause and celebrate those efforts.
Every nominee represents the values of kindness and resilience that make Hume such a wonderful place to live, work and learn. I congratulate our winners for their exemplary leadership and dedication to making city better every day.”
