We are excited to invite artists and community groups to apply for the 2026 Hume Galleries Annual Exhibition Program.

About the program

The Hume Galleries Annual Exhibition Program creates opportunities for artists and community groups to showcase their work in our dedicated gallery spaces, with support from the Arts and Culture team.

We select exhibitions through an Expression of Interest process to encourage fresh ideas and projects across a wide range of art forms. We especially welcome participation from under-represented communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ communities, young people, people with disabilities, and culturally diverse communities.

This program is guided by Hume’s Creative Community Strategy and focuses on building strong community connections and supporting wellbeing and belonging through creative expression. It also aims to increase public awareness, participation, audiences, and investment in creative practice.

Hume City also cares for a significant Civic Collection, and we invite artists to submit proposals that respond to or reimagine items from this collection.

Applications are closed and will reopen early 2027.

If you have further questions about the program, please email us at artsandculture@hume.vic.gov.au.
