Safety

Security   

Security and police personnel will be on-site. Alcohol is prohibited at this event. Bag checks may be completed.   

First aid   

First aid will be centrally located, next to the Festival Information marquee.   

Lost child/person   

You can pick up a wristband from the lost child/person marquees or from our roving staff. You can write your phone number on the wristband and attach it to your child’s wrist so we can contact you easily if your child becomes lost.   

The lost child/person marquee is the meeting point for lost children/people. 

Emergency   

If there is an emergency, you may be required to evacuate the site. Please remain calm and follow instructions from staff and emergency services.   

Stage Lighting Warning 

Lighting effects including strobe, laser and flicker may be used at the event.    

Accessibility 

There are disabled carpark spaces available in the surrounding areas of the event. Please have your disabled parking pass visible and advise the traffic marshal who will show you to the closest available parking space.

The site is an outdoor event with footpaths leading to and from the parking areas. There are also some footpaths within Craigieburn Anzac Park. Please note, the audience area is on grass.

Accessible toilets will be on-site at the event including a dedicated MLAK accessible facility.  

A portable parent's room with baby change, feeding area and microwave is available for parents. 

Pets

Pets are permitted at this festival. Please ensure they are on a leash and always controlled by their owner. We would advise that pets are off-site and in a safe environment before the fireworks display at 8.55pm. 

Amenities

Drinking water will be available and you are welcome to bring a refillable drink bottle (no glass). Water will also be available for sale.  

Portable toilets and accessible toilets will be based on-site at the event for your use.

A portable parent's room with baby change, feeding area and microwave is available for parents.

There will be a dedicated smoking zone for patrons next to the toilets. The rest of the festival is smoke-free.

Getting here

Parking and drop off  

Car parking is available at Craigieburn Central shopping centre and at the reserve off Punt Street. Traffic marshals will be directing parking.

Plan your Public transport journey with Public Transport Victoria. Buses are available from Craigieburn station and stop on Central Park Ave.  

There will be multiple pedestrian entry and exit points throughout the event site. The event is not fenced. There are no tickets or any other requirements to enter. We do not anticipate there will be a need to queue for entry or exit. 

Please always cross the roads with care using the traffic lights, marked crossings or the temporary pedestrian crossings with a traffic marshal present.

Where is the event?

It be held at Craigieburn Anzac Park, Cnr Central Park Ave and Aitken Blvd, Craigieburn. 

The event is not fenced, and you can enter via any side of the site.  

Please always cross the roads with care using the traffic lights, marked crossings or the temporary pedestrian crossings with a traffic marshal present.   

 

 

 

What is the date and time of the event?

The event will be held on Saturday 21 March 2026 from 1pm – 9.30pm 

 

Is the event free?

Yes, the event is free to enter. There are many free components such as children’s activities, live music, an art show, community stalls, a BMX show and more!

You will be able to purchase food, drinks and goodies from our stalls.  

 

Where can I park?

Car parking is available at Craigieburn Central, and Punt Street Reserve. We will have our traffic marshals managing the parking.

 

Is there access to public transport?

Yes, there are several bus stops around the event site. There is also a train station in Craigieburn. Plan your journey with Public Transport Victoria.  

 

Can I turn up on the day or do I need to book?

There is no need to book and no tickets are required to enter but we do encourage you to register your interest in attending via Eventbrite in order to receive event updates.

 

Who can attend?

The event is open to all ages and we encourage you to invite your family and friends.

 

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, the event is pet-friendly. Pets must be always on a leash and in control. We advise pets to be off-site during the fireworks display at 8.55pm.

 

What time are the fireworks?

A five-minute fireworks display will take place at 8.55pm.

 

Can I bring food and drinks?

You are welcome to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages. No glass is permitted. Bag checks may be done at any time. We will also have a variety of food and drinks on offer to purchase.

 

Will the event be cancelled in bad weather?

The event will only be cancelled in extreme weather such as high winds, storms, heavy rain, flooding of site, etc. If the event is cancelled patrons will be notified via our website and on social media. Please follow the Hume City Council page for updates and register via the Eventbrite page. Please note, various activities may be cancelled due to bad weather even if the event still proceeds.

 

What should I wear?

Please dress for the weather. It may get cold once the sun goes down. Umbrellas are permitted.

 

Can I take photos/video for professional use?

You will need to obtain a permit or permission. A filming permit and/or permission will ensure your activity is conducted in accordance with our local laws, road laws and the Filming Approval Act 2014.To apply, visit our filming and photography webpage and follow the steps.

 

 

Can I bring my own chairs and picnic rugs?

You are welcome to bring your own picnic rugs and chairs to the event.  

There will be a limited number of tables, chairs and shade umbrellas around the site.  

 

Will I need my ID?

You will not need to bring ID to this event.

Can I pay with cash or card?

Most vendors on site will have both options available. There will be no ATM at the event. ATMs are located at Craigieburn Central, across the road.

 

Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before attending the event. These Terms and Conditions relate to attendance at events.  

Variations to performances or events 

Hume City Council reserves the right to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute artists and/or vary advertised programs, prices, venues and audience capacity. 

Videography and photography 

Photos and videos will be taken at this event for future promotional purposes including on the Council’s website and social media. 
 
By attending the event, you consent to your photo or video being taken. Please advise the photographer, videographer or staff at the event if you do not want to have your photo or video taken. 

Conditions of entry 

You may be denied entry into, or removed from, an event where Hume City Council has reasonable grounds to do so, including if you breach these Terms and Conditions, or you are intoxicated, under the influence of illicit drugs or adversely affecting the enjoyment of the event by others.  

You may be required to a search of your possessions before entering the event.
