Livestream tonight's Council Meeting from 7pm
We've been undertaking infrastructure upgrades at Greenvale Tennis Club. These works aim to improve facilities, enhance player experience, and support broader community use through modern, inclusive and sustainable infrastructure.
What we've done so far:
constructed two new courts (courts 10 & 11)
redeveloped three existing courts (courts 5, 6 & 7)
upgraded lighting on the courts
improved accessibility with a new ramp
upgraded electrical mains to support the new infrastructure.
What's next?
As part of the upgrade, we'll also redevelop the existing tennis club pavilion, providing modern amenities for players, spectators and the broader community. We'll also install new carpark lighting for improved safety and visibility. Further details about this next stage of works will be shared as they progress.
The upgrade and development projects at Greenvale Tennis Club aim to:
Provide formal and informal recreation opportunities for people of all ages and abilities
Promote healthy, safe and sustainable recreation facilities and services
Deliver high-quality infrastructure that meets growing community demand.
The Pavilion project is funded through a partnership between Hume City Council and the Federal Government (Investing in our Communities Program) who are contributing $315,000.
The two new tennis courts are funded through a partnership between Hume City Council and developer contributions from the Greenvale Central Precinct Structure Plan.
