We have an update on waste collections in Hume.

As of Tuesday 14 April, garbage (red-lid) bins were collected as per usual scheduled services. This is a positive step, and we are hopeful this continues over the coming days.

What this means for residents

Please continue to put your bin out on your usual collection day.

We recognise that many households were impacted by missed collections last week. We understand how frustrating and disruptive this has been and sincerely thank you for your patience.

Council is working on restoration options for residents who still have missed or overflowing bins. Further information on catch-up collections will be shared shortly.

Recycling (yellow-lid) and food and garden waste (green-lid) collections are continuing as normal.

We also ask residents not to place household waste in public bins or parks, as these are not designed for household waste and may overflow causing environmental impacts.

We remain focused on restoring a consistent and reliable service as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience during this time.
