We've built a new community centre that will provide a welcoming space to house a broad range of community programs and services to support a growing Craigieburn community.

Why did we build it?

Rapidly growing communities like Craigieburn need facilities that can offer a variety of spaces for community groups, families and individuals to get together, build networks and support one another. This Centre includes:

  • a large, multi-purpose room (300m2) able to be divided into three 100m2 spaces suitable for varied community uses and accommodate demand for larger gatherings
  • training room
  • two maternal and child health suites
  • activity room for all age groups, including playgroups, youth, and older people

When was it completed?

The community centre was completed in May 2025.

How can I book a space at the new centre?

You can find out more about the new centre and book a room here.

Partnerships

The Highlander Community Centre was delivered by Hume City Council in partnership with the Victorian Government's Growing Suburbs Fund Contribution of $3,244,412.
