We're building a new community centre that will provide a welcoming space to house a broad range of community programs and services to support a growing Craigieburn community.

Why we're doing it

Rapidly growing communities like Craigieburn need facilities that can offer a variety of spaces for community groups, families and individuals to get together, build networks and support one another. This Centre will include:

  • Large, multi-purpose room (300m2) able to be divided into three 100m2 spaces suitable for varied community uses and accommodate demand for larger gatherings
  • Training room
  • Two Maternal and Child Health suites
  • Activity room for all age groups, including playgroups, youth, and older people

When will it be completed?

The community centre will be complete in 2025.

Partnerships

The Craigieburn Community Centre (interim name) is being delivered by Hume City Council in partnership with the Victorian Government's Growing Suburbs Fund Contribution of $3,244,412.
