Kindergarten is Free
As part of the Victorian State Governments ongoing commitment to early years, to ensure every child gets the best start in life. Kindergarten is free for all children in both three and four-year-old programs.
Kindergarten Support Sessions

What happens after submitting my child’s application?
Offers are made to families based on their selected kindergarten preference from August the year before they start kindergarten.
Families have ten days to accept or decline an offer.
If there are no places available at your preferred kindergarten, we will let you know of places available at other kindergartens. You may choose one of them or remain on a holding list.

Important Information
- Three-year-old and Four-year-old sessions are delivered at 15 hours per week.
- Children must be three years of age before starting kindergarten.
- Families are asked to select three locations that you are willing to attend.
- Updating preferences will not change your initial registration date recorded on the system.
