What we're doing 

We're upgrading the Railway Crescent streetscape to provide a more attractive and welcoming environment for the community and visitors alike.

The streetscape upgrade will address the existing site challenges and will include the following improvements:

  • street furniture, bins, and seating upgrades 
  • DDA compliance upgrades 
  • minor footpath and kerb renewal 
  • urban greening and garden beds 
  • wayfinding and signage.

Why are we doing these works?

The project supports Council’s broader goal of revitalizing the Broadmeadows area by strengthening pedestrian amenity, supporting small business activity, and improving the overall presentation of this key local centres.

Through these enhancements, Railway Crescent will provide a more attractive and welcoming environment for the community and visitors alike.

When will works commence?

Construction is currently scheduled to start early 2027 and be completed by mid-2027. We'll keep you updated as this project progresses through the design phase.
