Live Green Plan 2021-2026

This Live Green Plan sets out how Hume City Council will engage the people of Hume City to live in an environmentally sustainable way. Council’s local focus means it is well placed to support people to thrive in healthy communities in a healthy environment.

Priority themes incorporated into the Plan include:

  • Energy saving and climate change action
  • Waste reduction and increased recycling and composting
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People’s ecological practices
  • Connecting with nature and taking action to protect it, and
  • Food growing and sustainable food.
