What we did
As part of our commitment to safer roads, we've upgraded Hothlyn Drive in Craigieburn between Bridgewater Road and Newhaven Road. The project scope includes:
- removal of speed humps
- road re-sheet and deep strengthening
- installation of new raised safety platforms.
Why we did it
]This project is part of our Road Hump Replacement Program, which aims to replace outdated concrete road cushions with modern, raised safety platforms to enhance safety and accessibility for students, residents, and motorists, particularly near a local school.
By upgrading to raised safety platforms in the future, we’re ensuring better traffic, improved accessibility for buses, and a safer environment for all road users.
When was it completed?
The project has been delivered through a staged process:
- Stage 1: Concrete Cushion Removal
Completed in early January 2025
- Stage 2: Road Re-sheet and Deep Strengthening
Completed in January 2025
- Stage 3: Installation of New Raised Safety Platforms
Expected Delivery in mid-2025.
What's next?
Stage 3 works are scheduled to commence in mid-2025. We'll provide advance notice prior to works commencing.
